After a hectic time trying to get “retired” and three weeks of vigorous work preparing the house for sale, the first day in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic was supposed to be just relaxing. It wasn’t quite that. We had problems with our reservations at the all-inclusive resort. We had problems getting on to the wifi. We had other issues, but every time something bad came up, someone solved the problem. And how many problems can you have with the beach 100 yards outside the door, all the food you can eat and drinks you can drink, an upcoming complimentary massage, and a friendly staff at your beck and call? That’s what we have at the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort, https://www.sirenishotels.com/es/hoteles-punta-cana/grand-sirenis-punta-cana-resort/. So yeah, we recommend this place. It is great for kids and adults, and it’s just not that expensive when you consider the all-inclusive aspects. The room is large and comfortable, the grounds are gorgeous — and did I mention the staff is friendly? We are ready to “vacation” for a few more days before getting to work exploring the DR and seeing if this might be a place to live and/or spend several months in the future. More pics and stories coming soon…

Safe travels, you two!
Safe travels, you two adventurers!
Thanks, Aunt Carol. So far it’s been fun and a bit of adventure.
Have an umbrella drink for me!
Will do! We are diving tomorrow, so I probably won’t drink anything tonight. After the dive, an umbrella drink will be in order.
